The Cornish Pasty |
This is a song I know little about but you can find the details HERE - you can play'n, too!
It is on a CD issued in 2006 by DJ Dubb (aka Mr Derek Wright) called Pasties, Cream and Treacle, described as:
"Quirky, Hilarious and often beautiful collection of Cornish tunes - songs about Farmers, cider drinking and the country life - Cornwall's answer to the Wurzels."
The electric web page linked above (which is in Portland, Oregon, USA) led us to www.cornishmusic.com, where the 'ole Cornish CD is on sale price at £6.99 at the time of writing (4 March 2008).
You can also hear it here: http://www.myspace.com/pastiescreamandtreacle (it seems to come up as the 2nd track, when I played'n).
The sound reminded me of long ago when we was all singing in The Count House, Botallack, in 1964-1965.
G'won, you d'knaw you want'n!
